As someone who studies communications, I want to encourage just that. This blog is not only for me to present my knowledge and analysis, but it’s also meant to be a community where we can partake in active communication practices. To do this successfully, my philosophy entails that we should all be respectful, and inclusive while creating an environment where we can all feel comfortable in having open dialogue with one another in a supportive manner.
The Community Guidelines are as follows:
- When commenting, I ask that you are mindful of our words. No personal attacks will be tolerated, keep your comments focused on the progression of the topics at hand. I want everyone to feel safe and welcome to contribute to our community. Speak with kindness and respect, even in disagreement.
- If you see a comment that is inappropriate and/or violates the community guidelines, please help keep the integrity of the community by flagging them. I will review these comments and take appropriate action.
- My policy on removing comments is straightforward. If your comment is inappropriate, discriminatory, derogatory, or abusive, it will be removed. Constructive criticism is okay, as long as your comment does not meet the aforementioned criteria.
- Anyone who repeatedly violates these guidelines, or leaves an extremely offensive comment will be banned.
